Eagles running back LeSean McCoy won the NFL Ground Player of the Year on Saturday. This coming less than a week after McCoy played in the second Pro Bowl of his career. McCoy also won NFL Ground Player of the Month for the month of December.
McCoy, 25, rushed 101 times for 598 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and four touchdowns in the month of December. He also caught 18 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown. He finished the year with a career-high 314 carries for a league-leading 1,607 yards (5.1 yards per carry) and nine touchdowns.
