The Eagles announced today that RB LeSean McCoy has been named the FedEx Ground Player of the Year after winning the vote over Maurice Jones-Drew of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens. McCoy set franchise records with 17 rushing touchdowns and 20 total touchdowns which both broke Steve van Buren’s records. He averaged 4.8 yards per carry and accumulated 1,309 yards in 15 games for the Eagles this season. McCoy won FedEx Ground Player of the Week twice this past season. This award can go along side his Pro-Bowl and First team All-Pro selection.
