Also, not covered below, Oregon will be wearing these Pink accented uniforms this Saturday night against Washington State. Most people hate the Oregon uniforms (if you do, we really can't be friends), but some of these will be auctioned off after the game with all proceeds going to the Kay Yow foundation. It's gimmicky of course, but at least this time there is a good cause behind it all.
Here's what's on tap to start the second half of the college football season.
First Game to Watch
#22 Florida @ # 14 Missouri
Mizzou is coming off of a road win at Georgia, where they lost starting quarterback James Franklin for pretty much the rest of the season. This is a big opportunity for Florida (4-2, 3-1) to make a climb to the top of the SEC East.
Two options for your 3:30 slot
#9 UCLA @ #13 Stanford
The Pac-12 just got exciting, well Oregon is going to be hard for any team to beat, let alone a Pac-12 team, but with Utah knocking off top 5 Stanford last week, the race for an at-large bowl bid just became a couple-team race. Between UCLA, Stanford, and Washington, there is an outside chance one of them makes it to a BCS Bowl.
#24 Auburn @ #7 Texas A&M
After a big week by freshman QB Jeremy Johnson, Auburn will give the starting role back to Nick Marshall, who missed a week with an injury. That doesn't mean that Johnson, who threw 4 TD passes in his debut last week won't get any time. His performance impressed the entire coaching staff and he will see a few snaps in College Station, TX this weekend.
#5 Florida St. @ #3 Clemson
It's the "game of the year" before the next "game of the year." Seems like this season has been full of amazing top ten match ups and this one certainly won't be the last. Jameis Winston gets his first taste of Death Valley against his first real formidable opponent. The 'Noles had a shootout at Boston College two weeks ago, then got back on the right foot completely destroying Maryland 63-0 at home two weeks ago. Clemson and Tajh Boyd have the home field advantage all set for them to move closer and closer to the ACC title and maybe even a BCS National Championship game first. A win here against Florida State would leave only a trip to South Carolina at the end of the year the last hurdle for a perfect regular season.
