Having never been to Turner Field, I have no idea what it's like, but from my guess, a stadium that will turn 20, yes 20, when the Braves want to move, there can't be that much wrong with it right? Why you would take a prestigious ball club OUT of a downtown metro area is confusing to me. Are the taxes too high? Is Ted Turner going bankrupt and nobody knows? Say it ain't so Ted!
Since the Braves moved from Milwaukee in 1966, the Braves have played in downtown Atlanta. This will definitely be removing a chunk of history from the city center as they move to the suburbs. The report is that Turner field is in dire need of repairs that will not enhance the fan experience. So their plan of action? Tear it down and move.
