Captain Claude Giroux left practice early on Friday with what the team is calling a "lower body injury." General Manager Ron Hextall said Giroux was being evaluated.
It is interesting to note Giroux was centering the Flyers top line with Jakub Voracek on right wing and Brayden Schenn on the left.
Giroux, 26, finished third in the NHL in points with 86 while scoring 28 goals and dishing out 58 assists in 2013-14. He finished second on the Flyers in goals behind Wayne Simmonds' 29 but led the team in assists and points, along with power play points (37) and game-winning goals (7).
The Flyers captain was named a finalist for the Hart Memorial Trophy last year.
