The Flyers captain will make his preseason debut on Tuesday night against the New York Rangers at the Wells Fargo Center. Giroux returned last Thursday after suffering a groin injury on September 19th that was expected to sideline him for two weeks.
Giroux, 26, finished third in the NHL in points with 86 while scoring 28 goals and dishing out 58 assists in 2013-14. He finished second on the Flyers in goals behind Wayne Simmonds' 29 but led the team in assists and points, along with power play points (37) and game-winning goals (7).
The Flyers captain was named a finalist for the Hart Memorial Trophy last year.
