Pro Football Talk sat down with the Chargers defensive end to get his opinion on the Eagles offense. Freeney was honest when evaluating the offense saying the quarterback is "taking a pounding" the way the Eagles are currently designed. He said that "they don't really stress protection. they stress... we're going to confuse."
From everything I've seen over the first two games, Freeney is 100% correct. He should know as his Chargers marched into Philadelphia and won 33-30 on Sunday. Freeney also spent over a decade in Indianapolis playing with Peyton Manning who was the portrait of quarterback health for much of his career.
After watching the first two games, I don't know how Nick Foles would run the offense should Michael Vick get hurt. The Eagles must be aware that they are putting Vick directly in harm's way and they should have a backup plan in place. I just hope we don't have to cross that bridge this season.
