With the Red Wings seconds away from sealing a 5-2 victory over the Flyers Saturday, new Flyers forward kris Newbury took liberties with Red Wings forward Jordan Tootoo after Tootoo laid into Newbury.
As Tootoo skated back down the ice, Newbury slashed Tootoo in the back of the leg. Tootoo went down in a heap and Newbury was whistled for the Flyers' seventh minor penalty of the game.
Well, I'd say if Newbury wasn't irrelevant we'd probably have a little beef on our hands but my money is on Newbury returning to Adirondack by the time these two teams meet again in December. And it isn't like Newbury taking a minor penalty isn't crazy for the Flyers as their minor penalty issues are well-documented.
