The Philadelphia Daily News' Ryan Lawrence reports that the injured outfielder will resume baseball activities on Tuesday. Brown believes that he can return to the Phillies starting lineup in 4-5 days despite not playing since a pinch-hitting appearance on September 1st.
Brown, who just turned 26, is batting .274/.320/.513 with a team-leading 27 home runs and 81 RBIs this season but has been sidelined with Achilles tendon tendinitis. His loss is certainly felt with runners in scoring position as he was hitting .286/.354/.571 with eight home runs and 57 RBIs in 112 at-bats. The corner outfielder was selected to his first ever All-Star Game this year at Citi Field.
Brown stirred the pot on Sunday when he made it known publicly that he was a Dallas Cowboys fan.
