TSN's Darren Dreger reports that Flyers head coach Peter Laviolette is on the hot seat and that there is "a sense of impending doom for some around the organization and without a doubt Laviolette is in trouble." This coming just days after Laviolette was given 2/1 odds of being the first head coach fired.
Laviolette, 48, has had success in Philadelphia winning 47 games and topping 103 points in each of the last two full 82-game seasons. Overall with the Flyers he is 145-94-29 in 268 games since taking over for John Stevens in December 2009. He led the Flyers to an Eastern Conference Championship and trip to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2010.
I love Laviolette and I want to see him succeed in Philadelphia so this is troublesome.
