According to Forbes, the Eagles are the No. 15 most-valuable sports franchise in the world. This includes auto-racing and European soccer as well. The Eagles are valued at $1.26 billion.
However, the Eagles are valued fourth in the NFC East. The Cowboys are the No. 5 overall franchise and tops among NFL franchises at $2.1 billion. The Redskins came in at eighth overall and third in the NFL at $1.6 billion. The Giants were ninth overall and fourth in the NFL at $1.468 billion. The only other NFL teams above the Eagles were the Patriots (No. 6 overall - $1.635 billion), Texans ($1.305 billion), and Jets ($1.284 billion).
Only one other Philadelphia team made the top-50 with the Phillies coming in at No. 41 overall and fifth overall among MLB franchises at $893 million. The only MLB teams ahead of the Phillies were the Yankees ($2.3 billion), Dodgers ($1.615 billion), Red Sox ($1.312 billion), and Cubs ($1 billion).
The NFL was the most represented league in the top-50 with 30 of their 32 teams appearing on the list. The only two NFL franchises that were not featured were the Rams and Jaguars.
Real Madrid came in at the top spot valued at $3.3 billion.
