The Eagles could go a number of ways with their later picks but they might be trying to solidify a position of strength with one of those picks. NFL writer Charean Williams notes that the Eagles’ new wide receivers coach Bob Bicknell has had a number of conversations with Texas A&M wide receiver Ryan Swope.
The 6’1” 206 lbs. receiver has put up numbers in college. He set an Aggies single season record in 2010 with 72 receptions. He would break that record in 2011 when he pulled in 89 balls for a school-record 1,207 yards and he posted 11 touchdowns. He followed that up with another solid senior year with 72 catches for 913 yards and eight touchdowns.
Swope also showed off his speed as he ran a 4.34 during pre-draft workouts. He is expected to go anywhere between the second and fourth rounds as of latest projections. If you’re not excited about the possibility of this kid then take a look at his awesome trick catch video.
