The Eagles announced on Wednesday they have parted ways with public address announcer Dan Baker, who has been the Eagles public address announcer for the last 29 seasons. Eagles president Don Smolenski said they will begin the search for a new public address announcer immediately and will be working with an outside agency to fill the role.
Baker said in a statement, "I want to thank Mr. Lurie, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the fans for the privilege of announcing 29 great years of Eagles football. It has truly been an honor."
Baker still maintains his role as public address announcer for the Phillies.
