Eagles quarterback Nick Foles was taken to the Eagles locker room following the end of the third quarter. He was being examined by team doctors and trainers following a four-yard sack to end the third. It appeared as though the trainers were focusing on his head.
Rookie quarterback Matt Barkley is the Eagles backup today with Michael Vick inactive with a hamstring injury. Barkley has not taken a snap in the NFL.
Prior to exiting the game, Foles was 11-for-29 (37.9%) for 80 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions against the Cowboys. Just last week Foles was extremely accurate completing 70% of his passes for nearly 300 yards for three touchdowns through the air, including passes of 36 and 47 yards for touchdowns. Foles got the Eagles on the board in the first quarter on a four-yard rushing touchdown en route to a 31-20 win.
