Because that is just what it was, a perfect game. The Eagles absolutely dominated the Bears in every single aspect of last night's 54-11 slaughter. I feel like Oprah when it comes time to give away all of her favorite things... "You get an A, You get an A, And You, And You, You all get A's!!!" So that's basically it. Last night everything was so perfect, minus the fact that the stupid Washington Redskins decided to make our lives a little harder this holiday season by making us travel to Dallas next week. If you watched that game, it was clear to see just how bad Washington is. Whether it's the loss of RG3, the coaching indifference by the Shanahan's, or the poor defense, we can all agree that they just suck. Allowing Tony Romo to only beat them by 1 point also says something about Dallas. Are they ready for a completely different Eagles team from the one they faced back in October.
The coaching last night was brilliant. You get an A! Chip Kelly was running his offense to perfection. Chip remembered he had the best running back in the league, gave it to him 18 times, and laughed all the way to the endzone. Where was this against the Vikings? The Bears had the worst run defense in the league last night, and their statistics only got worse. They allowed 289 total rushing yards and 514 including Foles' passing yards. Great job also by Billy Davis holding the league's second highest scoring offense to 11 points. What a turn around after that terrible game in Minnesota.
The offense was firing on all cylinders last night. You get an A, too! Nick Foles went 21-25 for 230 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also set the record for completion percentage in a game for the Eagles. Shady McCoy, who said he was going to carry the team on his back, did just that. Shady carried the ball 18 times for 133 yards, and locking up what will be his first league rushing title. Even when Shady took a breather, Bryce Brown tore up the Bears' D. Brown rushed for 118 yards including ripping off a huge 65 yard touchdown late in the game.
Trent Cole, Mychal Kendricks, and Brandon Boykin were the standout stars on defense, but YOU ALL GET A'S! Let alone one touchdown, a bad spot which led to a touchdown, and the two point conversion, the defense was absolutely stellar. It's clear now that the Bears expected the Eagles to lie down because the game was essentially meaningless for the Eagles. If the Bears won, they would have the NFC North locked up, instead they'll have to face the Packers next week for the crown and possibly Aaron Rodgers. Whoops. Trent Cole picked up a hat-trick of sacks, and Kendricks picked up sack and a strip-sack as well. The Eagles just bullied the Bears all night, and you could tell early on that the Bears were frustrated and their spirit was destroyed.
So that was easy, thanks for your help Oprah. That was fun.
