The USA Today broke down the salaries for each of the 32 NFL teams and it came out with some interesting results about where certain teams spend their money.
It might surprise some that the Eagles spend their largest portion of their salary cap on the offensive line. This is not out of the norm as most teams spend a large amount on the offensive linemen because there are the ones that keep the franchise quarterback upright afterall. Jason Peters leads all Eagles offensive linemen with a $11.042 million cap hit and the only player who has a higher cap hit than Peters is Michael Vick with a $12.2 million hit.
The Eagles dead space is skewed by a few contracts as they still owe $4 million to CB Nnamdi Asomugha, $900,000 to DE Jason Babin, and $558,636 to S Jaiquawn Jarrett all of whom were cut by the team. The Eagles 6.5% of dead space is dwarfed by the 41.32% of dead cap space the Oakland Raiders currently have on their cap aided by the $13.7 million owed to DE Richard Seymour.
