The Eagles announced today they have signed center Jason Kelce to a seven-year deal and Adam Caplan reports the extension is worth $37.5 million and up to $40.11 million with $13 million guaranteed. The deal makes him one of the top-five paid centers in the league.
Kelce, 26, has been an absolute gem for the Eagles since being drafted in the sixth round (191st overall) in the 2011 draft. He has locked down the Eagles offensive line as the team's center since his rookie season but missed most of the 2012 season after tearing his ACL in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens. With the Kelce extension, all of the Eagles starting offensive lineman are signed through 2016.
