National Football Post reports, and confirmed by Tim McManus, that the Eagles have signed cornerback Roc Carmichael from the Houston Texans practice squad.
Carmichael, 25, was drafted by the Texans in the fourth round of the 2011 out of Virginia Tech. The 5'10", 195 lbs. defensive back spent the 2011 season on injured reserve and recorded nine tackles and one pass defensed in six games last year for Houston.
Hey, it can't hurt to bring this guy in for a look. It can't get too much worse for the Eagles secondary so why not? The worst that happens is the Eagles decide he isn't good enough and cut him. I see no downside.
Also, don't expect too much from this kid either.
