According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the Eagles have traded running back Felix Jones to the Pittsburgh Steelers for former Temple linebacker Adrian Robinson. The Harrisburg native, Robinson, was signed as an undrafted free agent following the 2012 NFL Draft.
Jones, 26, rushed 12 times for 45 yards, an average of 3.8 yards per carry, in the preseason this year. He was in a crowded backfield in Philadelphia that featured LeSean McCoy, Brown, and Polk. Last season with the Dallas Cowboys, Jones rushed 111 times for 402 yards and three touchdowns. Since 2008, Jones ranks fourth in the NFL in yards per carry averaging 4.8 yards per carry.
This move gives the Eagles another body at linebacker. I didn't have high expectations for Jones here anyways so I don't think this is a move of significance.
