ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the Eagles have restructured Michael Vick’s contract and the two sides have agreed to the terms of the new deal. He will be back with the Eagles in 2013 and his deal could be worth up to $10 million.
This move is sure to send fans into frenzy across the area. Most were looking forward to moving on without the 32 year old former Pro Bowler. This move had been hinted at over the past week as reports surfaced that Chip Kelly had met with Vick but had not met with Nick Foles yet. Vick completed 58.1% of his passes in 2012 for 2,362 yard and 12 touchdowns. His major problem was turnovers, especially in the redzone, as he had 10 interceptions and four fumbles on the year. He will be 33 by the opening of training camp in July.
