Where it gets outrageous is the predicted score of the Eagles first game of the year, a Monday Night Football match-up against Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins in Landover, Md. They predict the Eagles will lose 41-0 in Chip Kelly’s first NFL game. 41-0.
I will be the first person to eat crow if they actually do get shutout in their first game but that seems so unlikely. Kelly is praised as an offensive innovator and, if anything at all goes right for the Eagles this year, it should be the offense.
I find it incredibly hard to believe that the Eagles won’t score. There must be some play at some point that catches the Redskins totally off-guard and leads to points on the board for the Eagles – a touchdown, field goal, SOMETHING.
If they do get shutout, I’ll admit (albeit begrudgingly) that I was wrong and the Worldwide Leaders were right. Until then, I think their prediction is way out of touch.
