I don't even know where to begin. The Philadelphia Inquirer's Sam Carchidi writes that the Flyers should "be wary" of signing captain Claude Giroux to a long-term contract extension citing the failures of Chris Gratton, John LeClair, and Chris Pronger among others.
After watching the Blackhawks, a team who's core came up through their system - not free agency, win the Stanley Cup less than two weeks ago, it is almost impossible to comprehend why someone would argue against re-signing the best home-grown player the Flyers have had in years.
The good news is that I don't see the front office listening to Carchidi on this one.
