The Courier Post's Dave Isaac reports that Flyers forward Brayden Schenn was on the ice for this morning's skate preparing for the game tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Schenn told reporters that he had X-rays done on his neck but was not tested for a concussion because he showed no symptoms.
The 22-year-old was the victim of a nasty charge from Capitals rookie Tom Wilson on Tuesday night that sent Schenn head first into the corner boards. He was shaky on his skates trying to get to the Flyers bench following the hit and did not return to the game.
With such a violent play and Schenn going head first into the boards, I don't know why a precautionary concussion test wasn't done.
