The Flyers announced left winger Michael Raffl has been diagnosed with a concussion and will not return to the game against the Avalanche. Raffl was the recipient of a hit from Colorado captain Gabriel Landeskog along the boards in the first period.
Raffl had been moved up to the Flyers top line in mid-December and the team really turned it around. Entering Thursday night's game against the Avalanche, the Flyers were 7-1-1 since Raffl was moved up alongside Claude Giroux and Jake Voracek. The 25-year-old Raffl has two goals and nine assists in 28 games for the Flyers this season.
