Flyers general manager Ron Hextall announced on Wednesday the team has re-signed defenseman Nick Schultz to a multi-year contract. TSN's Bob McKenzie reports the deal is for two years with a $2.25 million cap hit.
Schultz, 32, signed a one-year deal with the Flyers in the summer and in 55 games he has two goals and 11 assists for 13 points. The 6'1", 200 lbs. defenseman spent 10 seasons with the Minnesota Wild, two and a half seasons with the Edmonton Oilers and nine games with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
