The Flyers have returned 2013 first-round pick Samuel Morin to his junior team Rimouski Oceanic according to the team. The announcement comes on the heels of a report that the Flyers were looking to clear space on the roster to keep Morin around.
Morin, 19, had turned some heads during training camp and was the last of the four big-name defensive prospects left in Flyers camp. Morin can play nine games for the Flyers this season without burning one year on his entry-level contract. Once Morin plays his 10th game, the first year of his three years on the entry-level contract will be burnt. Morin carries a cap hit of $894,167.
