Forbes released their annual NBA valuations and the Sixers checked in at No. 23 out the 30 NBA teams in total value. Forbes valued the Sixers at $469 million which is not bad considering Josh Harris purchased the Sixers for $287 million in 2011. The teams that checked from 24-30 were the Grizzlies, Pistons, Timberwolves, Hawks, Pelicans, Bobcats, and Bucks.
The Sixers had an operating income of minus-$3.8 million (thank you, Andrew Bynum) which wouldn't surprise many people considering the way the team and attendance tanked. The team is bad this season and so is the attendance as they are dead-last in the league averaging 13,457 per home game.
One positive is the team is young and operating at the NBA's lowest payroll.
