LeSean McCoy will look to improve upon his first outing against Washington in which he rushed 31 times for 184 yards and a touchdown in Week 1. In his career against the Redskins, he is averaging 4.28 yards per carry in eight games. McCoy had a big Week 10 busting out of his three week slump to rush 25 times for 155 yards against the vaunted Green Bay defense.
Another player that figures to be a major factor for the Eagles is Riley Cooper. The Eagles wide receiver has really turned it on in recent weeks with Nick Foles under center. Cooper has back-to-back 100 yard receiving efforts and will look to attack the Washington secondary on Sunday. Last week he only had three catches but two of them went for touchdowns including a 45-yarder. In the last two weeks combined, Cooper has eight receptions for 241 yards and five touchdowns.
The defense is coming off an tremendous effort against the Packers in which he held their offense to just 128 yards of offense in the second half while interception a pass in the endzone and taking it back into Packers territory.
One of the most impressive performances in Green Bay was by the run defense which held the Packers to just 99 yards on the ground. Running back Eddie Lacy was averaging 100+ yards by himself on the ground since returning from a concussion entering the game. The Eagles held Lacy to just 73 yards on 24 carries with no touchdowns.
Griffin, 23, is a much different player than the Eagles saw in Week 1 as the reigning Rookie of the Year has nine games under his belt. He is coming off a strong performance against the Vikings going 24-for-37 (64.9%) for 281 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. On the year, he has thrown for 2,450 yards, 12 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.
Williams, 28, is coming off a tough game against the Packers in which he made seven total tackles but missed a lot more. He is one of the most frustrating Eagles players as he is frequently whistled for penalties, including crucial pass interference calls. On the year, Williams has two interceptions to go along with six passes defended.
