Lee, who turns 35 on Friday, is coming off of a strong start last Wednesday against the Rockies in which he allowed two runs on nine hits with six strikeouts over seven innings. Lee got the no-decision but the Phillies won with two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. It was the first time the Phillies won a Lee start since July 5th. In 10 career starts against the Mets, Lee is 5-2 with a 2.55 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP.

Wheeler, 23, allowed three runs on six hits with three walks and five strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work last Tuesday against the Braves to earn his sixth win of the year. The Mets have won eight of his last nine starts. Wheeler has faced the Phillies once in his career on July 20th allowing two runs on seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts in 4.2 innings as he got the no-decision but the Mets went on to win 5-4.
