Sixers @ Celtics
Celtics - The is the first time the Celtics have played the Sixers this season and they are slated to face them three more times after tonight. Boston is 243-181 (.573) all-time against Philadelphia and an incredible 142-50 (.740) against the Sixers at home. The Celtics are just 3-9 in the back half of back-to-backs and will look for their fourth win in the second half of back-to-backs tonight. Boston lost to New York last night at Madison Square Garden. Point guard Rajon Rondo, who is still recovering from injury, is 23 assists away from 4,000 and it isn't crazy to think that is a 1-2 game total. In his career, Rondo is averaging 8.5 assists per game against the Sixers in 24 career games.
18.5 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 3.7 APG
Turner, 25, is coming off an alright offensive game against Phoenix scoring 21 points and grabbing six rebounds but he was horrendous defensively allowing Gerald Green to go off for 30 points. He has scored in double figures in five consecutive games entering Wednesday. In 10 career games against the Celtics, Turner is averaging 14.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.
16.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 1.4 APG
Green, 27, had a decent game last night against the Knicks scoring 14 points and grabbing seven rebounds in just 27 minutes of action. Last Wednesday Green went off for a season-high 39 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the Celtics 114-11 win over the Wizards. In 11 career games against the Sixers, Green is averaging 15.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
