Sixers v. Cavaliers
Cavaliers- The Cavaliers are coming off of a tough 109-104 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night. Former first overall pick Kyrie Irving had a team-high 29 points to go along with eight assists and five rebounds. Philadelphia native Dion Waiters had a season-high 21 points in the loss. Tonight marks the return of Andrew Bynum and it will probably not be a very welcoming crowd. Bynum said he expects to get booed in his return to Philadelphia due to everything that transpired last season. The 26-year-old stated rather bluntly, "It wasn’t my choice to get rid of me. I don’t feel bad at all."
5.5 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 1.3 BPG
Bynum, 26, will likely play his first game in Philadelphia since being traded to the 76ers in August 2012. He never stepped foot on the court for the Sixers last season which has created animosity amongst the Plainsboro, NJ native and the Sixers fans. Bynum has played in four games this season and has scored more than five points just once when he scored 10 points in a 93-92 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
17.2 PPG, 11.0 RPG, 1.4 BPG
Hawes, 25, has been strong for the Sixers in the early going. He has been in double figures in four of the 76ers first five games topping 23 points twice. He has grabbed 11 or more rebounds in three of the five games and is a shocking 9-for-18 from beyond the arc.
