Jonathan Pettibone allowed three runs on 10 hits over six innings of work for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs last night. He has experienced a setback as he has shoulder soreness today. Pettibone is scheduled for a MRI on Thursday. In 18 starts this season, he is 5-4 with a 4.04 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP.
Roy Halladay pitched last night for Single-A Lakewood and he surrendered seven hits, two runs (one earned), three walks, and four strikeouts over six innings of work with 90 pitches (52 strikes, 38 balls). Halladay underwent shoulder surgery on May 15th and began throwing from a mound after the All-Star break. Before his surgery, Halladay was 2-4 with an 8.65 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP in seven starts this season with the Phillies.
Halladay's next start will come on Sunday for Double-A Reading as they have a doubleheader scheduled against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
