The NFL announced on Wednesday that Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week. It is the first time in his career that he has been won a Player of the Week award. Maclin is the second Eagle this season to win the award as Darren Sproles won NFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 2.
Maclin, 26, caught six passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's victory over the Houston Texans. Sunday's performance followed up his performance against the Arizona Cardinals in which he caught 12 passes for a career-high 187 yards and two touchdowns. Maclin is one of 13 players in NFL history (and the first Eagle) to record two consecutive games with 150+ receiving yards and two touchdowns. He now has 790 receiving yards in eight games this season.
