Posted today by Chris Mascaro of Sports Illustrated, former Penn State and Washington Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington was sent a cease and desist letter by the team for using "Redskin Great" in his promotional material. The term was used by Arrington as he is promoting his summer football camps. The term, as seen in the tweet below (click to follow link to better photo) is used in very small font along with his name & picture.
The Redskins weren't too busy last night as they were sitting around twiddling their thumbs watching the Rams take their pick, so they decided to head down to their legal department to see what's up.
