The NFL announced Thursday LeSean McCoy wins the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for the month of December. It marks the second consecutive month in which an Eagle won the award as Nick Foles won the award for the month of December. According to the NFL, the Eagles are the third team since 2000 to have back-to-back Offensive Players of the Month joining the 2000 Rams and the 2002 Giants.
McCoy, 25, rushed 101 times for 598 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and four touchdowns in the month of December. He also caught 18 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown as well so the award is certainly definitely warranted. He finished the year with a career-high 314 carries for 1,607 yards (5.1 yards per carry) and nine touchdowns.
