The other side of the deal is the NHL Board of Governors. ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun is reporting that the NHL Board of Governors will meet on Wednesday to ratify the new 10 year CBA.
“Further to what I reported earlier today, confirmed now that NHL's Board of Governors meeting is Wednesday in NYC (to vote on new agreement).”
All of this seems like a formality at this point in the process but no front office person from any team is allowed to comment on the CBA or lockout until the new CBA is ratified and signed by both the NHLPA and the NHL Board of Governors.
