The Moscow-born Zadorov is an excellent skater for a player his size. He uses his big strides to cut down rushes and is smooth in transition. His agility along with his size are a rare combination.
He plays aggressive and uses his size to his advantage. Sometimes, as is the case with young players, he loses focuses and gets caught out of position trying to make the big hit. The 18 year old has the propensity to take himself out of plays but it is certainly something he can work on with more experience and time at the professional level.

Offensively, Zadorov is raw and needs more confidence when carrying the puck but could eventually develop a decent shot from the point given all the torque he can get with his frame. He's a competitor so there is no reason to doubt that he will work to improve his game.
His body is NHL-ready at 18 years old. Zadorov's game, especially in the offensive zone, could use some work. The Russian projects to be a stay-at-home defenseman who would be the defensive-defenseman in a pairing. He will likely be a top-four defenseman but not a No. 1. Zadorov will likely be available when the Flyers select 11th overall barring anything crazy happening between now and June 30th.
