Mantha was so good offensively in the QMJHL that he lead the league in scoring last year with 50 goals. He wasn't playing against scrubs either as he was competing against projected top-five selections Nathan MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin.
As good as Mantha sounds, there are some questions. Despite having a NHL body, he is not as physical as he should be given his advantage. The Quebec native also does not play a sound two-way game as he sometimes lacks top effort which leads to a lack of consistency in his game.

Just based on observation, there appears to be a lot of similarities between Mantha's game and former Flyer Jeff Carter's. I don't know if this works for or against Mantha in the eyes of the Flyers brass. He could be a guy they look at to pair with young centers Claude Giroux or Brayden Schenn in the future.
The NHL draft will take place on Sunday in Newark, NJ.
