NHL.com's Steven Hoffner released his NHL mock draft today. It is an interesting quick read to get familiar with some of the names aside from the Aaron Ekblads and Sam Bennetts of the world. What is particularly interesting is Hoffner has the Flyers selecting Joshua Ho-Sang at 17th overall. If Ho-Sang's name sounds familiar it is because he is the player who was slashed in the head last week by Flyers goaltending prospect Anthony Stolarz.
For the record, Stolarz was suspended eight games for the slash. Could you imagine those two on the same team?
Ho-Sang, 18, is having a great year for the Windsor Spitfires with 32 goals and 53 assists for 85 points in 67 games this season. The 5'11", 165 lbs. forward can play both center and right wing with a nose for the net. Ho-Sang is known for his "incredible hands" as one scout described.
