ESPN announced the four finalists for Best Breakthrough Athlete at the ESPY Awards and Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is one of the finalists. In addition to Foles, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, Yankees pitcher Masahiro Tanaka and Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard are also finalists.
It'll be hard to top Sherman in this case as he was the face of the defense that won the Super Bowl plus he is always in the spotlight, most recently as the new cover man for EA Sports' Madden 15.
The Eagles signal-caller found tremendous success in his second year in the league. Foles, 24, threw for 2,891 yards, 27 touchdowns, and two interceptions in 13 games played but only 12 starts. His touchdown to interception ratio is remarkable and he tied an NFL-record with seven touchdown passes in a game on November 3rd in Oakland.
