Flyers general manager Ron Hextall announced on Friday that defenseman Nicklas Grossmann will be out three weeks with an upper-body injury. Grossmann suffered the injury in the first period of last night's 3-2 overtime victory against the Capitals when Tom Wilson drove him into the corner boards.
Grossmann, 29, has already set a career high with three goals on the season. He is coming off a 2013-14 season when he posted a career-high 13 assists and 14 points. The 6'4", 230 lbs. defenseman is signed for $3.5 million through next season.
