Biddle, 21, is the Phillies top prospect and the No. 54 overall prospect according to MLB.com. In 14 starts at Double-A Reading, Biddle is 3-7 with a 3.29 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP. In 79.1 innings pitched, opponents are hitting just .190 against him and he has a 91:42 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
Franco, 20, has been white-hot as he was recently promoted from High-A Clearwater to Double-A Reading. In his five games with Reading, Franco is 11-for-21 (.524) with two home runs, five RBI, and four runs scored. In 65 games in Clearwater before his promotion, Franco was hitting .299/.349/.576 with a Florida State League leading 16 home runs and 52 RBI. He also leads the FSL with 23 doubles. In his last 10 games in Clearwater, Franco was hitting .395/.730/1.125 with five home runs and 10 RBI. One of the telling stats about Franco's ability to come through when needed his his .331/.575/.907 slash line with runners on base.
It is quite the honor for two players who deserve it.
