Player to Watch: 1B Kyle Blanks - The power hitting first baseman has stepped in nicely for the injured Yonder Alonso. Blanks is hitting .270/.352/.478 with eight home runs and 27 RBI. He has had a good month of June as he's hit five home runs with 14 RBI. In five career games against the Phillies, he is hitting .235/.278/.412 with a home run and two RBI. Blanks was born in Sellersville, Bucks County.
Dodgers (4 Games)
Player to Watch: RF Yasiel Puig - Since making his Major League debut on June 3rd, no player has been hotter than Puig. He is hitting .431/.468/.722 with six home runs and 12 RBI in 18 games. He took home National League Player of the Week honors for the week of June 3-9th (breaking Domonic Brown's two week reign).

In addition to Papelbon's recent shakiness, the bullpen has had a tough time staying healthy - that continued over the weekend. The Phillies place reliever Mike Adams on the disabled list on Saturday with biceps tendinitis then followed it up by placing Michael Stutes on the DL with the same ailment.
The offense has been brutally inconsistent and it is leaving manager Charlie Manuel at a loss for an explanation. Following the loss on Friday night to the Mets in which the Phillies scored three runs, Charlie Manuel was irked by Fox 29's Howard Eskin's questioning about what they can do to fix it. Eskin, as he is known for, tried getting the last word by asking manuel when the Phillies were going to score 10 runs - a feat they have not accomplished this year.
This is a crucial west coast trip as it could decide whether the Phillies will be "buyers" or "sellers" at the trade deadline.
