Following the game, it was announced that Revere had broken his malleolus in his right ankle. The 25 year old centerfielder will see foot and ankle specialist Dr. Steven Rainkin at the Rothman Institute at Jefferson Hospital. He will likely miss six-to-eight weeks due to the injury.
Revere was enjoying the best season of his career. At the time of his injury, he was hitting .305/.338/.352 with no home runs and 17 RBI. The worst part is that Revere was beginning to heat up. In his last 23 games, he was hitting .382/.409/.461 with nine RBI. His production over the last month makes his loss hurt even more.
