The Phillies signed centerfielder Ben Revee to a one-year deal worth $1.95 million. Revere had requested $2.425 million in arbitration while the Phillies offered $1.4 million. The Phillies no longer have any arbitration eligible players unsigned.
Revere, 25, played 88 games for the Phillies in 2013 after being acquired from the Minnesota Twins last off-season for starting pitchers Vance Worley and Trevor May. In 2013, Revere batted .305/.338/.352 with no home runs, 17 RBIs, and 22 steals in 30 opportunities.
His season was cut short in July when he broke his malleolus in his right ankle just before the All-Star break. In the 23 games prior to the injury, he was hitting .382/.409/.461 with nine RBIs.
