John Lannan's season is officially over after he ruptured a tendon in his left knee and Phillies team physician Dr. Michael Ciccotti has recommended surgery. He has reportedly sought a second opinion on the knee from Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles.
Lannan, 28, signed with the Phillies last off-season and went 3-6 in 14 starts with a 5.33 ERA, the highest of his career, and a 1.52 WHIP. He is arbitration-eligible this coming off-season.
He had some good starts in Philadelphia. He had some bad starts in Philadelphia. I don't really want to see him back next season. It will certainly bring back bad memories.
