Flyers v. Penguins
Penguins - As bad as the Flyers are playing is as good as the Penguins are playing. Sidney Crosby is third in the NHL with five goals, third in assists with seven, and leads the league with 12 points in six games. He is coming off of a three-assist performance against the Edmonton Oilers which is not a good sign for the Flyers. In 48 career games against Philadelphia, Crosby has 28 goals and 43 assists for 71 points. His 71 points are the second-most against any one team trailing his 75 points in 43 games against the New York Rangers. Pittsburgh will be without forward James Neal and defenseman Kris Letang tonight but that shouldn't be a big deal as they've scored three or more goals in all six of their games this season.
5-0-0, 1.80 GAA, .926 SV%
Fleury, 28, has been spectacular for the Penguins this season allowing two or fewer goals in four of his five starts this season including a shutout in the season-opener. On Tuesday, Fleury had 20 saves on 22 shots to get the win over the Oilers. In 42 career games against the Flyers, he is 23-13-1 with a 2.80 GAA and a .902 SV%.
1-4-0, 2.23 GAA, .926 SV%
Mason, 25, is coming off a tough loss at home on Tuesday night against the Canucks. The Flyers were clinging to a 2-1 lead before two unanswered third period goals doomed them giving Mason his fourth loss of the year. He had 22 saves on 25 shots and has yet to allow more than four goals this season. In four career games against the Penguins, Mason is 2-1-1 with a 3.21 GAA and a .908 SV%.
