There has been a lot of talk recently about the possibility of Kansas guard/forward Andrew Wiggins falling to the Sixers at No. 3 overall in the NBA Draft. ESPN's Chad Ford has Wiggins slipping to the Sixers and adds it is something the Wiggins camp wants. "It's a great scenario for Wiggins, as well. Of the three top teams, his camp prefers the Sixers as the best possible fit. This could be a win-win for both."
This would be the ideal scenario for the Sixers and their fans. They wouldn't have to part with any pieces in order to land the guy they covet. Fans have been clamoring for the team to go "winless for Wiggins" all season and they might get their wish if things break the way Ford predicts they will.
The 19-year-old Wiggins was the Big-12 Freshman of the Year and a First-Team All-Big 12 Selection. Wiggins, who stands 6'8" 200 lbs., averaged 17.1 points and 5.9 rebounds last season for the Jayhawks. Wiggins is in the conversation for the No. 1 overall pick with teammate Joel Embiid and Duke freshman Jabari Parker.
