ESPN’s Chris Mortensen cites sources that O’Brien is on teams’ radars for their soon-to-be vacant head coaching positions.
“Penn State's Bill O'Brien may be on more short lists than Oregon's Chip Kelly and that would include the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles, according to league sources.”
Mortensen also states that if O’Brien left Penn State it would be a surprise and that the coach is not actively pursuing NFL coaching positions. Just because O’Brien is not looking does not mean teams are not looking at him. It is an interesting situation and one that probably has Penn State fans a little uneasy.
