NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Eagles have inquired about the availability of Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson. Rapoport tweeted, "Vincent Jackson still generating trade interest. Among the more than 4 teams calling around: Eagles, Pats, Seahawks. Bucs want real value."
Jackson, 31, stands an imposing 6'5", 230 lbs. and has proven to be a legitimate No. 1 wideout. He has caught 25 passes for 344 yards and two touchdowns this season and has posted 1,000+ yards receiving in every season dating back to 2008, except 2010 when he only appeared in five games.
The rumors don't stop there. Pro Football Talk reports the Eagles are also looking for a "starting-caliber safety" before the trade deadline. The safety would have to be a strong safety as free safety Malcolm Jenkins has played well in his first season in Philadelphia.
The trade deadline is Tuesday at 4:00 pm.
