Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that the Eagles are one of four teams that are interested in moving up to the fourth overall pick currently held by the Cleveland Browns. The Minnesota Vikings also have expressed interest in moving down from the third overall pick.
Mike Mayock of the NFL Network mentioned last week that the Eagles could be interested in Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill is 6’4’’ 221 lbs. and spent much of his career as a wide receiver while making 19 starts at quarterback. According to draft scouts, Tannehill has terrific upside. Another potential target could be USC OT Matt Kalil. Despite depth on the offensive line, Kalil might be a good pick for the Eagles. Kalil is 6’7’’ 306 lbs and is one of the best left tackle prospects in years. ESPN draft expert Todd McShay stated, “Kalil is the best offensive tackle I've evaluated since Joe Thomas. With his size, balance, light feet and finishing ability, Kalil has all the makings of a franchise left tackle.” He could also be on the Eagles radar.
Expect much more speculation as the draft gets closer.
